Submission Guidelines

Submissions of information for scheduled Pack events and alike must be sent via the Cubmaster.
This is to assure accuracy. Every attempt will be made to post the updates within a few days after receipt.
Submission can be excepted in Microsoft WORD or plain text format. Please word the information the way you
want it and use spell check prior to submission. E-mail is the preferred method of submission.
Include the following:
WHAT is the event.
WHEN is the date of the event.
TIME of the event. (Perhaps include an arrival time so the event can start on time)
WHERE is the event taking place. (Include directions if it's at a place that many people may not be familiar.)
WHO is the contact person for the event. (Include e-mail or phone contact information)
WHY is the event being put on. The benefit of participating in the event. (I.e. Required for advancement, etc.)
DUE DATE to reply if you you require a head count for the event.
COST of the event if there is an additional fee required to participate.
Den Leaders can submit information about their individual den activities directly.
Again, include the above information.
PHOTOS
Having photos of the many fun-filled scouting events is a nice way to view Pack 28 in action. The way
photos get onto the website is by parents and or leaders of Pack 28 submitting photos of the scouts during events.
The events can be den meetings, pack meetings, and any other scout oriented event.

The photos should capture the essence of the scout event and include individuals and preferably in
groups doing scout oriented activities. The photos should convey action and not be stagnate.
The photos can be digital or in traditional format. If you have the means to scan photos prior to submission,
please limit your scan to no greater than 70 to 100 dpi resolution. The higher the dpi, the more web
space and download time it requires. Digital or scanned photos can be e-mailed as attachments.
Traditional photos can be mailed to the webmaster. Photos should have notes to identify the event
pictured as well as dates. Traditional photos will be returned after they are scanned.

Small video files can be posted as well, however, being that these types of files use up more space resources,
there may be limited space for them, however, may be at the expense of still photos.

Due to limited web space, the number of photos posted will be predicated by the number received and
by the number of individuals submitting photos.

In most cases, names will not be used to identify any individuals in the photos and if so, only a first name.

From time to time, posted photos will be changed and or updated. This is done to keep the web space
size within required parameters and to keep the website fresh and up-to-date.
