Popcorn Fundraiser 2002

Thank you to all that participated.
By now you have already received the information packet from the Housatonic Scout Council or your
Den Leader about the annual Popcorn Fundraiser.
Pack 28 stands to benefit big time from this program if you take an active
position on participation. The money that Pack 28 receives from this goes
directly into the quality scouting program for your boys, the Future Leaders of America.
This year our goal per scout is to sell a minimum of $50.00 worth of popcorn. This is easy to accomplish. Look over
the many high quality offerings from Trails End in the literature you already received. The price ranges from $7.00
to $30.00 with many in the $10-$15 group. Last year Pack 28 sold over $6000 in popcorn. We can beat our record
and keep our annual registration low in comparison to many other scout groups in the council. Everyone must be a
part of this effort. Don't assume that the other person will do the work. With 7 weeks to sell, start now and sell a couple
of people each week. You will be surprised at how quickly the totals adds up. If you sell 1 $15 popcorn tin per week,
that adds ups to $105, double the goal. Sell 2 $15 tins per week and that adds up to $210. If everyone does that,
the pack will blow the lid off last years record total.
WE CAN DO IT, BUT ONLY WITH EVERYONE PARTICIPATING
AND IT TEACHES THE BOYS THE CONCEPT OF EARNING THEIR OWN WAY.
Remember when your friends at work or your relatives called you to buy Girl Scout cookies, or wrapping paper for
their kids school? Of course you do. You bought some didn’t you? Of course you did. The fund-raisers are for
good causes. Well, now it’s your turn to offer them a truly HIGH quality, GREAT tasting tin or micro-wave-able popcorn
product and support Boy Scouting at the same time. Popcorn is the movie watchers first choice in snacks.
It’s light and airy.
You say you don’t like popcorn? That’s OK also. Buy some yourself to give out as gifts. The decorative tins make
a novel gift for the popcorn lover in your life. As you know, at holiday time, many kids bring their teacher a gift.
Why not a decorative tin of popcorn. Your kids’ teacher will love it and remember it every-time she or he munches
on that delicious Trails Ends popcorn. Below are several points to remember when selling and thank you in advance
for your participation.
