Wild Webelos Weekend 
Happy Cub Scouts
 
Camp Cedarcrest, Orange, CT

This event gives the Webelo scout the fast start he needs toward earning the various activity pins as he starts or continues the trail to the Arrow of Light award, the highest award in Cub Scouting. Wild Webelos Weekend is hosted by the Housatonic Council.  

Campout & Activity Headstart

DATES: September  26, 27, 28, 2003- Wild Webelos Weekend

DIRECTIONS: Rt. 34.  Traveling towards New Haven. 
Pass the Northbound entrance to the Merrit Parkway (Rt. 15).  
Make the 2nd. right turn onto Mapledale Road (If you pass Rt. 152, you past it)
Proceed on Mapledale for about a mile.  
Make a right into Camp Cedarcrest (Look for the signs)
TIME: Arrive Friday night between 4:30 and 5:30PM but no latter than 6pm
Tents must be up before night-fall.  The Webelos to meet at the entrance of the camp.
More information regarding fees per scout and adult camper as each approaches.
Each scout and adult is responsible for their own meal for Friday night dinner, Saturday breakfast and Saturday bag 
lunch.  The Pack will do dinner for Saturday night. The Council will do Sunday breakfast.   Camp breaks Sunday 
morning.  Scout uniforms are to be worn during Saturday events, church services and during Sunday breakfast and 
closing ceremonies.  Bring change of cloths for other times.
Each scout and adult camper should be prepared to bring the following to be comfortable:
Tent, Webelos book, Pencils, full Scout Uniform, 2 to 3 wood logs for the campfire, 1 gallon of water to be placed 
next to each tent for fire emergencies, socks (6 pairs), t-shirts, sweats, jeans, change of underwear, jacket, full 
assortment of personal toiletries including toilet paper, bug spray, Scout "Whittlin Chip" card if you earned it and plan 
to bring your Cub knife, Flashlights or lanterns with fresh batteries, sleeping bag, fishing gear & equipment if you want 
to fish, sneakers, boots, work boots.  
There will be a trading post for cold drinks, fresh fruit, candy bars, coffee all day and night.  Bring your own cup!!
